A Test for Light Gravitino Scenario at the LHC

چکیده
Supersymmetric (SUSY) standard models in which the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) is an ultralight gravitino (m3/2 = O(1) eV) are very attractive, since they are free from the cosmological gravitino problems. If the neutralino is the next lightest SUSY particle (NLSP), it decays into a photon and the gravitino in collider experiments. We propose a simple test for the lightness of gravitino at the LHC.

A Measurement of Neutralino Mass at the LHC in Light Gravitino Scenarios
We consider supersymmetric (SUSY) models in which a very light gravitino is the lightest SUSY particle. Assuming that a neutralino is the next-to-lightest SUSY particle, we present a measurement of the neutralino mass at the LHC in two photons + missing energy events, which is based on the MT2 method. It is a direct measurement of the neutralino mass itself, independent of other SUSY particle m...
متن کاملSuperWIMP dark matter scenario in light of WMAP
The heavy gravitino in the minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) models is likely to be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). Produced from the late decays of the metastable Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) such as the lightest neutralinos, the stable gravitinos can be plausible candidates for the cold dark matter in the universe. Such gravitino dark matter can naturally evade the cur...
متن کاملVery Light Gravitino Dark Matter * * *
It is certainly very attractive that two longstanding open questions -the origin of electroweak symmetry breaking -and the nature of the non-baryonic dark matter in the Universeseem to be on the verge of being answered simultaneously and presumably in a unified framework. LHC will give us the opportunity to start scratching the surface of this issue and, if we are lucky enough, to hint more cle...
متن کاملGravitino Dark Matter in the CMSSM With Improved Constraints from BBN
In the framework of the Constrained MSSM we re–examine the gravitino as the lightest superpartner and a candidate for cold dark matter in the Universe. Unlike in most of other recent studies, we include both a thermal contribution to its relic population from scatterings in the plasma and a non–thermal one from neutralino or stau decays after freeze–out. Relative to a previous analysis [1] we u...
متن کاملGravitino Dark Matter in the CMSSM and Implications for Leptogenesis and the LHC
In the framework of the CMSSM we study the gravitino as the lightest supersymmetric particle and the dominant component of cold dark matter in the Universe. We include both a thermal contribution to its relic abundance from scatterings in the plasma and a non–thermal one from neutralino or stau decays after freeze–out. In general both contributions can be important, although in different region...
